Good story. About time Harry got some gumption. As much as I love to read manipulative Dumbledore stories, they make me so angry that I have to take a step back and read fluff in between them. Even when he gets his come-uppence. This was a very interesting take on the whole Boy-Who-Lived story and I enjoyed it a lot. Thanks so much for sharing your work.

I read this when it came out last spring, and just finished it again and wanted to thank you for this and the other wonderful original stories that you have given us.
The plot was well thought out, the characters perfectly developed, the motivations at the beginning straight out of canon, just an excellent novelette. When I am counting my blessings on Thanksgiving, authors like you are pretty high on the list.

Wow, that was a good story. No, it was a GREAT story. Cognac made it even better. :) Now to see if I can find another, as ff seems to have run out or decent stories. Maybe I should write a few plotbunnies inspired by this. Nah, reading is easier. :P

I'm not usually a fan of Harry/Daphne, but I have to admit that I truely enjoyed this story. I would, however, recommend braking it up into chapters. It really is a bit (a really big bit) long for a one-shot. All in all, very well done.

What an interesting twist on the story that was. I thought Daphne made an remarkably believable mate for Harry. I was kind of sorry to see the way the world worked out for Hermione, but Ron's end was certainly justified!
