I don't think this is your best work. Evil DD is a bit over the top and cliche... Then again I liked HBP.

Well Done Bob! I finally broke down and read HBP and you are correct, it was a POS.
Now on too this story, you did an excellent job and I say that because very little would have kept me up tonight and then I found your latest story. Thanks, but Dumbledork got off way too easy.

OMG! This was incredible. Once again you have given us an incredible riviting story that I could not put down. I loved it. The scenes of young Harry's life made me want to weep, and the Angel that brought him back from the brink of dispiar was pure genious.

A very wonderful tale, with a believable reason for Dumbles to be manipulative, and an interesting take on how to deal with him. My one question revolves around phoenixes - if Dumbledore was so dark, why did Fawkes remain with him, if presumably, Phoenixes are creatures of good?
The darkness Lily mentions is also something interesting, since it implies that either Dumbledore was going to somehow be responsible for darkness / evil itself to become a factor, or wizarding society as a whole was going to make a foolish move, resulting in the same. A nice little tidbit to give thinkers something to wonder about.

beautifuly done!! it dosent even need a sequal, its a fine story, just what one needs to cleans their 'reading' palat between heavy stories.

Looks at Bob...
Looks at Alyx...
Where the hell did that come from?
The only thing missing was Dumbledore's Funeral and the statue of Harry pissing on the grave.
That was great.

This is a nice one. Things turned out for the best afterall. Be neat to see short one shots further down the timeline in this one.
Thanks.

Wonderful story. I think I have seldom been moved as much by a story. Your story deals with abuse without being terribly graphic or overly maudlin. While I don't subscribe to Dumbledore as being this overtly evil I don't think he has exercised much diligence in regard to Harry. Thank you for writing this great story. W.

Interesting.
Another power-mad Dumbledore trying to keep Harry abused and under his thumb.
Good job.

That was just beautiful. I'm speechless.
I don't think I can ever read another Manipulative!Dumbledore story again... this one has said everything that could possibly be said!
Well done!
