Only thing you missed was the wand. Ollivander must have matched Harry up with the first wand he tried -- birch with flobberworm guts (too bad the response was masked by wandless magic). And Neville's still using Frank's old wand - Dumbles is planning on getting him in to the shop right after graduation to pick up the holly with phoenix feather.

*laughs hilariously* Oh, Ghod, that's a good one and one of the best exploitations of cliches that I've seen. Poor Dumbles messed up in so many ways it's not even funny, starting with not even considering Tom's background and who -he- might find the most potentially dangerous opponent. Definitely a fun read for a holiday weekend.

Well that was both a bit disturbing and extremely satisfying.
