Very good chapter( or is it one-shot story?), one wonders how long harry's continuing magic would stay hidden, will it be enough to allow him to find the horcruxes and destroy that which anchors voldie to the living plane. I'll definitely be on the lookout for this story in the future

Errrr, your summary said no DH and no HBP!

What is this: ""Ssssooo, it issss true then," Nagini said sibilantly. The horcrux within the beast gave it the ability to speak in English."

Horcrux!

Ah, well. Let's wait and see..err... read

Wow, short chappie. Well I suppose they ALL can't be epics. Not really sure where the plot is headed with this one, but it seems pretty awesome so far. Love your stuff as always, keep em comin!

This is a great idea - and I love the way it begins. But what's really confusing me is what happened to Voldemort - is he just temporarily dead/a spirit like he was after he met Harry for the first time and tried to A.K. him? Did he really turn into a temporary squib, or did Harry, Padfoot and Moony just manage to trick him?

A great start to another epic adventure! So what do you think, two, three years to completion?

Well well! An interesting start.

I strongly suspect that Sirius has a Plan for his godson which has only just begun. With Dumbledore dead, Voldemort at least neutralised for some time by the loss of his followers and Nagini's betrayal, there is now time for Harry to train and build "Evan Black's" position in the world magical community. What happens then? I imagine that the Purist and Traditionalists will find the answer to that question most... uncomfortable.

Even better, everyone thinks that Harry is a squib or worse. No one (with the exception of those he chooses as allies) will ever expect him to be a threat or an issue to consider ever again. That is... until it is far too late to do anything about it.

This has caught my attention; it has at least as much potential as the Sunrise/Sunset sequence. I look forward to seeing more of this.

I loved that, cant wait for more. I dont normally like Harry/Hermione stories but your stories are the exception to te rule for me. As always wonderful writing and I laughed when voldie was eaten. Thanx

Although I look forward to reading another, no doubt, good story from the BOBMIN, I can't help saying that I do not think that Harry and Hermione make a good couple. Nor do I think that Jenny is a good match for Harry.

In your first chapter you took 7 years of this story and ended the whole thing in less than 7,000 words. LOL

Demolished the Ministry, Malfoy, Dumbles, Voldemort etc.

Now we are going to read yet another Harry, Hermione get together...sigh... I am so tired of these pairing stories. Is there no one out there that can write a Harry Potter story that does NOT have such pairings.

Is it not possible for Harry to just find his own way without the Hermione constantly holding Harry's brains from dribbling out his ears?

Personally, I would like to read a very independent Harry story where he does it all, ALONE. No help from anyone or any Gods giving him extra power, no animagi, no metamorphic abilities, just a teenage magic kid that manages to do it all by himself.

Sigh... oh well, maybe this will inspire someone to actually write one of those.

Bobmin356 replied:

We stated clearly in the summary and in the description of the email alert that this was a Harry/Hermione hook-up. You knew, going in, what the pairing would be. This, of course, begs the question: Why would you read a story that contained a hook-up you so clearly hate?

Want an independent Harry who goes it alone? Get off your duff and write one, rather than rail at authors because they don't write to your taste. We write what we enjoy, and we write for ourselves. Don't like that we won't cater to your wishes? Then go elsewhere for your FREE bit of entertainment, Steve.

Shorter than normal, but a wonderful chapter anyway. What a wonderful prank to play on everyone and I loved how the various parties were taken out of the game lol.

look forward to seeing what happens next.

Ooh, a new story - great.

Nice beginning, I can see the usual come down on Dumbledore process working here.

Nice to see that Harry is still magical.....Sheeps

Decent start. But what's next?

I don't see what's coming up next here and am wondering where the conflict's going to occur unless we have the Dark Lord Nagini. And to be frank, Lord Nagini doesn't really impress me as an antagonist. As far as Harry is concerned, I'm wondering if there's going to be lots of introspection here. If there is, I might not be interested in reading it.

Also, there are some grammar errors (mostly homonyms it seems (forth was used instead of fourth) as well as one noteworthy repetitive use of "softly" in the last paragraph). I don't know your status re: beta readers, but you might need another.

As far as the characterization is concerned, it's been mentioned that there is some repetitiveness in what the characters are like in comparison to previous works. While it's true, it's also to be expected in a certain sense.

Each one of the authors here has his or her (and in your case his and her) own recognizable style and method of characterization. It's a Bobmin story, one should know what to expect. That being said, I certainly hope there will be enough differences to make the story interesting and stand out on its own merits.
