Once again, I'm rapt with the chapter. There is so many story lines and so much going on, that there is never a dull moment. I'm looking forward to the continuation of Tonks and Lupin's relationship, and the wedding of Sirius and Cindy.. what an opportunity for pranks that will be.. And of course, can't wait for Hermione and Harry's relationship to continue growing. IN other words.. I can't wait for the next chapter.. but I'm sure you've heard that a thousand times already..

Loved the chapter - I particularly enjoyed the bookspace, and the rules changing as the characters age - that is an interesting set of charms that someone in your universe has created.

that PAC Rim Newts being different from the British ones is an interesting one, and the practical requiring the transfiguration of a working muggle device is cool - Can Harry eventually transfigure motorcycles? and be able to do a range depending on the needs of the moment? from a trials bike to get through the Scottish mountains to a KZ1400 so he and Hermione can get away from attackers at 200 MPH??

Seriously - this is one of the most engrossing of all the current stories that I follow - thanks for the early birthday present. (8 december)

warm regards

Nice long chapter. Waiting to see the snogging get serious. Lavender and Ginny still look like promising problems.

Once again you have surpassed yourselves, excellent story telling. Things appears to be moving rather nicely in the Harry / Hermione relationship, neatly interspaced with a hint of magic every now and then.......Sheeps

how did the deatheaters find them in fiji? i thought it was a hideout as harry does not look like evan all the time? what are lav and frances foils for hermione? great update love the story.

Bobmin356 replied:

They weren't looking for Harry. And since Sirius isn't hiding, he was easily found.

Lavender and Frances are meant to be obstacles for Hermione. Frances will not reappear, she's had her shot. Lavender is another issue, but it won't last much longer. She's needed to help Hermione overcome some of her own self doubts.

Yet another great chapter in a long line of great stories and chapters! I really do like the way you are building up the relationship of Harry and Hermione slow and steady the way 2 people with such obvious low self esteem would do so. I am also impressed at the way the "journals" have limits to what they can do and hope you explore that more and maybe the magic behind it.
I really cannot wait until Hermione can let the world know that the 'as cute as Harry was' Evan is really Harry!!! I never really like Lavender much, but then again I had a Lavender named Mandy I went to school with and we never did get along well...I cannot wait to see the rest of this story and am also looking forward to your X-men x-over...I hope those naysayers have not discouraged you and Alyx not to post it.
Thank you again for writing this story!
Patrick

Great chapter, thanks!

Nice blend of teenie-bopper stuff and real plot advancement.

The Nagini scene was off-putting. Discounting ambush, no snake is a match for a healthy farm dog.
Dogs, cats, and even squirrels routinely kill snakes; even deadly ones like Rattlesnakes and Copperheads; with no problem.
Heck, there's even a famous video of a rabbit terrorizing a big rattler!

Against a pack of dogs there is only one possible outcome -- dead Nagini.

Of course, a real snake would be absolutely immobile outdoors in winter. Snakes cannot function in the cold and usually die with much exposure to snow and ice.

Your story is good, that's why it irks to see such avoidable errors on such a small plot device.

Generic Reader #6 poked his head above the dirt. "I'M NOT DEAD YET!"
Alyx I'm glad to be generic reader 5 and 3 quarter whith good runners. I always git so rapt up in your stories and intro's that I fail at indepth review. Even if you brought back that 'kiss my foot' Lucius you story is great. Now i'll jest git my runners on. Thank you.

The first line of that first article really makes it sound like the Quibbler is trying to undermine the American ministry. While believable, I wonder if you meant that the British ministry is the one doing the undermining?

Cindy patting Sirius on the head and assuring him that Emma knows about "the mouse" was classic.

I liked the chapter and look forward to the next one. Happy writing.

Well Rita Skeeter in a bug zapper desrves to be on my list of favorite fiction scenes. I continue to enjoy your fine story. I like action scenes and I suspect that more are in the offing. Those will no doubt be welcome in the fullness of time. Thanks for writing. W.

They say he screams like a Banshee every time he sees someone wearing something pink

Now that's an absolutely priceless line.

Great update. I really appreciate how this isn't about boogeymen around every corner, Lavender notwithstanding. It's great to read a well-written fic that's about character development, not crash and burn stuff. Thanks!!

Excellent. Loved it. Every time I picked it up to read, I got another email with changes to a project I am working on for a friend, so it took me a while longer than usual to read and review.

At one point, when Harry is about to parasail, you say his feet let the ground rather than left. That is the only change I can remember.

Thank you for writing.

Very nice chapter once again. While Fahrenheit is used by some to indicate temperatures, Celsius is still the more common variant in Britain. I'd really like to see a bit more Japanese, but I understand that it obviously has very little to do with the plot itself. I'm a big 'Japan fan' myself and study the language as a hobby.

The story is shaping up to be really interesting. And the character themselves have grown up and matured really well.

I like how Harry's life with the Dursleys is actually have more of an impact on his personal life. It seemed like in the books it didn't really hold any clout despite JK making it such a point.

The interaction between Muggle and Magical influences are also a nice blend. The fact that muggles do live in Britain along with all the magical folk seems to get glossed over a lot in the original books.

Actually a lot of stuff is glossed over or just not well explained.

Thanks for taking that next step and bringing parts of our world into a world that we wish we could be a part of as well :D (gotta keep the kid alive).

On a side note I do hope that karma bites Lavender in the ass, nothing too major, just a little dose of her own medicine ^_^.

Anyway thanks for the great read, looking forward to the next chapter.

Ok Bob.

I took time off from reading a great author to read this. I Hope Alyx isn't upset. I'll finish HPSC later. :p

Now I need time. I'm going to try to teach Ms. Skeeter to make Jelly Donuts. So far the donuts are ok but I want them filled with Bavarian cream & assorted jellies, and she wants to fill them with "Other Things." RITA! Drop Dan. you may not...

We are not worthy (repeat ad nauseum). Thank you once again for a wonderful chapter.

FYI the age of sexual consent in the UK is 16. In England and Wales, between the ages of 16 and 18 you can get married with your parent's consent. In Scotland you can get married at 16 without your parent's consent.
