Another awesome chapter. The humor that you guys constantly interject, even in very serious moments, is so real, and really damn funny.
If you don't want the donuts, you can send them to me. I have one of those wickedly evil metabolisms that let me eat whatever I want. Muahaha!
Anyway, thanks again for the update.

Wow, I loved the Hit Wizard exam! Great action sequences, and Murphy and Smith's interaction was hilarious. Great job on continuing to develop Harry and Hermione's relationship.
And thank you so much for Hermione's smack down of Ms. Brown- it was amazing.
Great chapter, as always. Thanks for sharing!

Another one bits the dust, yeah - yeah - yeah !!
Nice X-mas present, thank you very much.
As for the Lavender you made in this fiction, I want to EAT her, chew her in to tiny pieces and then spit her out somewhere, oh I dont know, perhaps in Atlantis ????
GLAEDELIG JUL OG ET GODT NYTAAR ---> translate: Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Great new chapter, I'll look at this a an early Yule present and enjoy it very much.
I love his apparition from Japan to Fiji. If he can duplicate the sound from his correction jump at will when he apparates, that would be a useful tactic when starting an assault when added to casting spells with his wand and his ring. It would eliminate the need for a cannon blast charm.
Thanks again...

Hm... interesting about that cult thing. I fail to see the logic in their actions, but fanatics only make sense to other fanatics. And cold logic need not apply to their actions.
Anyway, an interesting little tidbit about that examiner knocked out for curiosity. I laughed to myself about that, it was a rather amusing mental image.
Though you DO realize that with that save of 1d20 with a 22 required, a natural 20 (i.e. rolling a 20) would be considered an automatic success regardless of difficulty... or maybe I'm wrong, been awhile since I played anything in the d20 system.
Anyway, enjoyable as always.

yippeee!! an update is exactly what i was hoping to get for christmas. of course, it was a great chapter as always. i can always rely on u guys for an excellent story.
poor dan knowing that his lil girl is growing up. at least he sees the light and sees how solid harry and hermione's relationships is. it's so sweet the pace they're going with their relationship. and speaking of relationships, it's about bloody time remus gave into tonks and got together with her. i'm very happy to see sirius and cindy's relationship just as strong as ever despite what's happening around them.
and woohoo for hermione for standing up for herself. lavender really lost her common sense to her jealousy. i was quite happy in not liking lavender as she's never been my fav character but then u had to make me feel sorry for her by giving her such a father. i can relate all too well to situations like that.
i like how harry took his language newt. quite clever of them. and the defense newt was definitely intense. it was a definite 'u ought to see the other guy' moment. hee hee. and the throwing of the coconuts, for whatever reason, i get a real kick out of that idea.
i eagerly look forward to the next chapter. :)

Weeeeell, I guess I have to come out of the woodwork sometime, so here I am. Wonderful chapter as always, except that there's not enough of it. But then, there rarely is.
It's sort of mean of you to give Lavender a nasty father. I was feeling rather comfortable hating her guts and then you have to go and make me feel sorry for her.
And because I don't want to meet the cleaver up close I'll try to be usefull and point out that while Harry is swimming toward the island and thinking that rules were made to be broken, there's some mess up with the italics. I think. 'Rules' is in italics, the rest isn't.
See, I was useful. Don't hurt me?

Once again I have to say that this was an AWESOME update - I absolutely love this style of writing. Most storys that take it slow tend to fill it in with way too much extra detail that didn't need to be there, you on the other hand have done an awesome job with making it slow without boring.
I can't tell you how many times I reread the last update, and checked my email and the site for this update - you are doing a great job on this story.
Thanks for sharing this with us - I for one appreciate it.

Another great Chapter. I love really the Quibbler Articels. With the broom to the Moon? Any Jules Verne allusion? Lol.

P.S. A merry Christmas.

great chapter, and an even better story.. I can't wait for more.
on a side note.. I loved the end of the defence mastery exam... it gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "You should see the other guy"
great job and keep up the good work!

I love reading this story. The way you have Harry as mature but naive at the same time is amazing and probably the way he should have been in the books. Also your beginning and ending notes are funny as hell. Keep up the good writing and I'll be sure to read whatever you post next. *gives virtual cookies to Alyx*

Now, that was quite the nice Christmas present, thank you.
I quite enjoyed this look at the second half of their sixth year. *wicked chuckle* I can't feel at all sorry for Lavender, she let her ego & pride get in the way of her common sense and it burned her big time. I do like the way things are heating up 'tween Harry & Hermione as their relationship evolves, it most definitely feels natural.
I especially enjoyed the Culture/Language NEWT and the hit wizard testing and how he made it through both quite successfully.
It should be fascinating to see how the next couple chapters go since he'll be in the UK to help Hermione with her NEWTS - and I'll wager he'll be as firm and thorough with her as she'd be with him.
It was quite interesting to see that the other Ministries in the world are not just sitting by and watch Wizarding britain stew, but are actively preparing an intervention if required. That they're already supporting people on the inside, esp. ones as involved as Harry and Sirius has to be a good deal for them. I look forward to seeing how Wizarding Britain reacts when Harry does permanently terminate Tom and then reveals who "Evan" really is; the reactions should be intense and colorful, to say the least.

Now that was interesting. Nice to see Harry make his Mastery so quickly. Now he's becoming a sort of Agent for the International who are watching Britain very closly. Nice. Can't wait to see how the Nagini Hunt takes place. Happy Christmas!!

I think people should stop complaining about the pacing of the story. I think it's perfect, or at least as close as I'm going to find.
I really love the journal entries. They provide a sense of time passing as well as let us know what's happening with both characters. There's enough action between the entries that it doesn't feel like a story written in journal form, which would be boring to read.
Finally, I also love the lack of explicit sexual scenes in the story. It's incredibly nice to read a story that doesn't get broken up at random points for gratuitous sex. Thank you for that.
