What a great start to another one to your stroies; so Sirius and Remus warned Harry about the a*s Dumbledore, who instructed Snape to be even harder on Harry in the coming year.
So Dumbledore's plans aren't going the way he wanted, and Sirius and Remus teached Harry to protect his mind.
I like what The Prophet said about Harry and his Prophecy... and thanks to the prophecy, Harry can keep his magic.
PLEASE update again soon.

OOOOOhhhhh!!!! So many possible ways this could go...I can't wait to see what you do with it! I loved the exploding Cup, I have a vision of precious jewels bouncing across the floor and landing at Dumbledore's feet.

Oh my, Oh my! What a sugar rush at the end. I always wondered how it would have worked out if Harry had just learned to say NO! and stick to his guns.
Thank you for one version of that.

Wow, this is amazing. I don't know if you realize it (and I am NOT trying to hint that you should, far from it) but the ending to this chapter is a great ending to a one shot. But please continue this fic anyway! I love you idea. Harry will keep on training and become a much better person while waiting for the big confrontation between Voldemort and himself. However, there is a big chance it won't happen since Nagini killing Voldemort's weak form, that there is a horcrux inside the snake, and the prophecy being destroyed just might have finished off Voldemort for good.
Still though, it would be nice to see what happens next. However, I hope this doesn't take you away from the Wizard's fall series!

A very interesting start. Will read more as you continue to write. You two are my favorite Harry Potter authors. Thank you for sharing your stories with the rest of us.

Ooh, another fun story!! So excited to be here for the start of it.
I can't wait to see how Sirius and Remus will teach Harry on their own and what will happen with that. Plus, I'm very intrigued to see how much interaction he'll get to have with the rest of the canon characters (I can guess that he'll see Hermione maybe just a little....)
Looking forward to see how this one turns out!

So... He's got his land on Fiji and the girl he's in love with... All he needs now is a sheep, a cow and a couple of books on equine husbandry.

An interesting beginning and a neat spin on the whole idea of "harry and the tutors." I guess the question on everyone's mind should be how long will it take to prepare Harry. Second question is who will act as the catalyst to resurrect Voldemort? In killing off Peter, Malfoy Sr et al, you have reduced the number of potential "enablers" significantly. And, if no one "enables" Voldemort, does this then lead to Quirell the sequel? If Quirell the sequel, then Lily's blood magic will still wreak havoc on the new Quirell. And, if not Quirell 2, then how will Voldemort find Harry unless he wants to be found? In short, you have posed a number of interesting issues and I can't wait to see how they are dealt with. The only thing that upsets me is the fact that you only uploaded one chapter...aargh. I need my "Bobmin" fix and this was truly not enough. Does this mean I am a junkie with ever increasing needs...God help us.

Hi,
Novel (pun intended) and interesting idea for a story line. I look forward to more.
I do have one question that I hope you can answer. What is up with many of the authors at FanFiction.net and Dark Lord Potter, The Fight Club and the hatred of the Harry/Ginny pairing? I have heard people claim that H/G is trite and overused. I personally don't believe that.
I have tried to follow explanations of the dislike for Ginny from the Dark Lord Potter site (nonjon is another of my favorite authors) but none of them really hold any water. Each of the same points can be made for the H/Hr pairing as well given the huge fan fiction base that supports that pairing (overused, trite, etc).
Is it that no one wants to use H/G since JKR used that pairing?
You have used H/Hr almost exclusively in the last few years. Why is that? After your wonderful Sunset/Sunrise and other stories, I was kind of hoping you would return to an H/G story or develop some other pairing to the extent you have H/Hr.
I find Ginny's character more interesting and with more "wiggle room" for fan fiction authors than the Hermione character (which JKR has built up in great detail in her books). Most H/Hr pairings must really take Hermione out of character to make the pairing work. Canon has Harry more brooding and introspective while Hermione is more probing and pushy resulting in a real oil/water mix romantically.
I just wondered if you could explain it since your early stories were H/G based so you obviously do not have the same bias as many of the authors that I have read on this site and on the Dark Lord Potter site.
Thanks,
Kevin
Bobmin356 replied:
We can't explain it either, Kevin. We don't hate Ginny. The X-Men crossover is a Harry/Ginny story, it's just not ready to be posted yet.
When an idea for a story comes along, we think through what's needed. In Wizards Fall, Ginny wouldn't have worked, for obvious reasons. In The Power of the Press, Ginny was only 13 and there was no way her family was going to let her trip off to Fiji. There are some other elements to the story that you haven't read yet that would have made that pairing awkward.
In the two stories mentioned above, a muggle born was needed. We could have used an OC, but people tend to scream Mary Sue as soon as an OC is added as anything other than a minor, secondary character. We got a taste of that with DA and SC and didn't really want to listen to it again.
Sorry we couldn't answer your question. We've listened to the arguments against Ginny and they just don't wash with us. If a story can work with her and Harry paired together, we'll use her.

Excellent start! But knocking off Dumbles, jailing Snape and cleaning out the ministry, I've got to wonder what you do in the next part! :)

At first I thought, wow! What a unique way to destroy ole voldie... but then you surprise us all by showing that Harry did in fact still have his magic.
What an amazing twist! I look forward to more... course, I look forward to just about anything from you two... and Alyx? So very sorry to hear about your llama, hun.

Sirius gripped Harry's shoulder supportively. "If she feels as you do, I suspect it won't matter."
Harry scowled at him. "Evan, remember?"
was harry talking to the narrator?
anyway, interesting way to kill off dumbledore!! look forward to seeing where you take this. cheers

Oh my god. I absolutely love this. It's such a simple yet original idea. Makes me wonder why of all the thousands of HP fanfiction authors, no one has thought of this until now. But I guess you two are brilliant like that. I love all of your stories. Damn, I can't wait to read the next update!

Great start to another one of your wonderful stories. I don't think I've ever seen another story where Harry is willing to risk losing his magic by refusing to participate in the Tr-Wizard.
You've put in some great twists and hooks already and the story has just begun. I'll be eagerly looking forward to seeing how it develops.
Thanks for posting another great story.
