Hmmm. An interesting idea, but killing off Dumbledore in the first chapter does rather limit how much you can bash him, doesn't it?

After reading DH, if I disliked Hermione before, it turned to genuine loathing. Most of the book was "The Hermione Granger Story," and I seriously wished someone would beat her over the head with that bloody beaded bag.
You however, are a HP/HG shipper, and I like your writing more than I detest Hermione (so much for Potter men and their redheads).
I was hoping...evil git that I am...that DD would suffer a bit more, for more things than I can count without taking off my socks.

Great start! Way to go, Nagini... :-D
I really liked that "equal strength" theory (even though it didn't actually happen here)... hope you'll use it in other stories too -- wheter Harry (or Voldemort) becomes magically weaker or stronger.
What training will Harry get?
Will Hermione stay with Harry? Will she train too? What about Ron and Ginny?
Keep up the great work.

I'm not surprised that Sirius finally figured out that Dumbledore was a controller. I'm glad a lot of things changed in Hogwarts. Does this mean that Fawkes would show up in another story? Never did figure that Albus would buy it by a muggle lorry. Would have been just right for him to choke on his lemon drops. Is Harry learning under the tutors?

This sounds like a one-shot.
Where are you going to go with this.

A very curious chapter. There's not enough here for it to stand on its own - it's more a summary of events. So it must be a prologue for a longer story to follow, but one wonders what the story is. So many things are notable by their absence. I am confident that this is intentional, rather than sloppy writing, which leads me naturally to speculate where this story is going to go.
The entire fall term at Hogwarts is dismissed in a few words. Nothing on the other tri-wizard champions or the first task, so we must assume that Viktor, Fleur, and the tournament itself will have no role in this story. A brief suggestion that Dumbledore had some complicity in Moody's captivity, but no more. The Order of the Phoenix was not reactivated, so apparently there will be no role for them.
Ron and Ginny are summarily dismissed from the story with the comment, 'He missed Ron and Ginny, of course.' Pettigrew is dead. At least a part of Voldemort is dead. The wizarding world assumes that Harry has lost his magic and forgets about him, but this assumption turns out to be wrong. If so, then Voldemort must still be a threat.
Then there is the focus on Nagini. So, do we conclude that Nagini will be the primary villian in this story? That would certainly be unusual! On the other hand, there are still the other Horcruxes to deal with.
Whatever is going on, at least Hermione appears to have a part in it. That's enough for me right now. My only hope is that we won't have to wait too long for the rest.
I eagerly anticipate the next chapter.

*grins* Awesome. Simply awesome. This is the first time I've ever seen that used against the old dark tosser.
Though I do wonder... did he use the wizarding world's inability to think outside of the box against them, or is it something else?

<scratches head> I thought Voldie was snake chow? Oh, well, I'm sure things will become clear in later chapters. I'm enjoying this premise v. much.

Very good chapter( or is it one-shot story?), one wonders how long harry's continuing magic would stay hidden, will it be enough to allow him to find the horcruxes and destroy that which anchors voldie to the living plane. I'll definitely be on the lookout for this story in the future

Errrr, your summary said no DH and no HBP!
What is this: ""Ssssooo, it issss true then," Nagini said sibilantly. The horcrux within the beast gave it the ability to speak in English."
Horcrux!
Ah, well. Let's wait and see..err... read
