The use of nanotechnology in 2007 really is a bit over the top. Try 2020 next time. ^^;

So, you've got them set up to return to the world in.. what was it, a hundred years? Two hundred? Either way, do you think there will be anything left for magic to offer humanity?

We'll have replicated everything it can do that isn't actually physically impossible, by then - given that it clearly *isn't* physically impossible in your universe, probably they'll even have replicated magic by machinery. The existence of wizards well into the 2100s should make sure of that. We may have transcended the human condition; using AIs to run the world instead of corruptible humans, *merging* with AIs, designing new and entirely nonbiological bodies for ourself.. maybe deciding to disassemble Earth itself to build a dyson sphere...

You probably shouldn't show what happens after the avalon equations run their course. I don't think anyone could do it justice, and if you somehow managed to get it right, Harry would look very silly indeed.

Bobmin356 replied:

Or global warming will trigger another ice age, civilization will collapse and when they come out of avalon time, they will have more than they could ever possibly imagine to offer humanity.

They will be able to leave the island in one hundred years. But the island will remain hidden for one thousand. That is what we said. Not what you read. Also if you've read anything we've written, we've said time and time again that what happens after they enter avalon time isn't as interesting to us as what happens before.

So we may NEVER write anything about what happens after. But here's a couple of possible ideas for you. And we think our ideas are far more likely to occur.

1) Global warming triggers another ice age. Civilization collapses.
2) Bird Flu becomes a pandemic killing of forty percent of the population and again civilization collapses.
3) A nuclear exchange between the United States and a reemerging belligerent Russia causes the collapse of civilization. (Now there's a surprise).
4) A world wide fuel shortage collapses most governments turning the world to anarchy.

Hey are you getting the picture?

tremendous depth in this work - I love the maturity of your characters and writing, and have done so since Spiritus Crystalus; How wonderful it has been to see good skills become great and then magnificent - thanks so much for sharing.

Since we have seen the future of this chapter, it is nice to know that Luna heals some, but thanks for saving her.

warmest regards

What a fine story! I was hoping to get more of Luna's story and voila' here it is. I enjoyed this story a great deal. I like super Harry and you have such a well woven framework for this series that I just can't get enough; so please keep them coming. Thanks, W.

Bravo, I applaud the bunnies that have turned your original story into this series. One question though; Why did the wizarding world continue to follow DD and the Ministry after everything that happened?

liked it a lot... question: do you already have an idea how many "chapters" there will be in the end?
I'd like to know that... if you can't tell for reasons of keeping suspense, that's ok too... but I'd like to know...
so anyway... good chapter, write another one soon ;-)

Excellent - I do hope there's still more to come though. I'd especially like to see more of the world slowly becoming accustomed to losing it's magic. Also there's the return to consider - when the Avalon equations have done their work and the island returns to reality, what will the world be like, and how will harry as his island full of magic users cope with it...?

And another hit out of the ballpark! Nice to see how Luna was brought to the Cay. Say, is the next in the series going to be about Harry, Hermione and Luna's children being born? As well as Blaise being brought into the Family, so to speak. Hmm, maybe the research that enables Luna to chart the magical gene and begin her testing of nanotech to remove it? Well, I am certainly enjoying the series and hope to see more soon.

That was an amazing story! and I love how you tease and torment us with hints about Hermione, Harry, and Luna's relationship and how they might be connected. All in all you guys have a great little universe to play around in and for us to enjoy reading about ^_^

Ah - Luna finally.

Just a question though - Did you write the story that way (out of order) or just decided to post it like it?

I think it's grate!

Crisply written, intriguing premise, well-crafted character development - what's not to like? :-) Looking forward to the next bit.
