I DEMAND A REFUND! All $000,000.00 That being said, good story so far, and yah, new and interesting ways to off Tom are getting difficult, so if you want to, sure. This is after all one of two stories that I have read that deal with Harry and X-men in any way/shape/form. So what ever is fine. Considering your other work, I have faith that the Llama will persevere.

As far as i am concerned i agree, the whole Voldemort thing has been over-done. As long as you cover it properly, not just a quick one-off battle, i could see this story going long past it.
Maybe dealing with the muggle-wizard war you are hinting at, & dealing with mutants inside & outside the wizarding world.

It was so nice to see you've updated and truthfully, I've not been interested in this story because it'll be powerful Harry defeating Voldemort. I rather like the betrayed angle and how you handle that. If you don't like to mess Voldemort in here, then don't. Make Harry a dimension walker, for all I care and he steps into a universe exactly like this but without Voldemort and ppl have betrayed him there for the heck of it :) Do what must to stay interested in this! Hell, put Bob in the actual story to solve it but I really hope you continue this. Although I read your other works as well.

as long as you keep posting I will be there to read. the only thing that I ask it more humor, there just are not any funny stories out there right now and I have come to depend on the little bit of jokes that you leave for us at the beginning and end of postings.
This was a good chapter and I look forward to the next. If the story goes that way that you have outlined it should be good for a different type of read.

I'm not surprised that Harry wanted to make an entrance. Will Harry be making a brisk buisness with cell phones and laptops? Will the missing girls will be the motivation for Harry to sort of save the Wizarding world. I think that Dumbledore really needs to work on his reaction to Snape a little bit more. I'd be surprised if Snape got a reality check. The wizarding world seems to need a good reality check for them to realize that they need to get off their behinds for Harry wanting to save them.

I was watching X3 and thought of this story and your closing note. Since the Jean and Harry relationship is so important to the story thus far, what if when Harry kills Voldie, Cyclops is killed/MIA. Now Harry has to deal with a Dark Phoenix he really doesn't want to hurt.
I'm sure you already have the plot planned, but I thought this was an intresting, non-Volie centric direction
Thanks,

Hi!
First I want to say sorry if my english is bad but I'm french and, if I can understand english well when I read it, it's a lot more harder to write in it.
Then, I must say I love this story. You really did manage to combine Harry Potter and X-men in what I think is a realistic way. And I don't really see any OOC character.
But I really wanted to react on your end's note about Voldemort. I really can imagine how it can feel repetitive to always write the same old end of the Dark Lord.
But if you introduced the mutants on Harry's side, why don't you do the same with the Dark side ?
For example, you can easily imagine another mix of wizard and mutant who has the power to control Voldemort and is the true Dark Lord spoken in the prophecy.
Or make Voldemort discover Logan's mutant power and I can see him trying to gain it just to catch another way to immortality. It's his true goal after all...
If this was what you meant by "going in directions that few will anticipate", then I'm sorry to have taken your precious time (after all, I like most of your stories and would like to read more).
If not, well, I just wanted to give suggestions to help if this was possible.
Bye,
Vkasu

I'm naturally glad to see a new chapter. I was a little surprised by some of the things that came up, like Harry not showing up for the feast and not spending any of his nights in the castle, but I assume they'll be dealt with in later chapters.
I also want to mention something regarding the Author's Note. I should, in principle, be pretty easy for Harry to kill Voldemort. All he has to do is teleport snake-face's head away from his body. The tricky part will be making sure he stays dead. I'm sure you've already thought of that, but my mother always said there are no stupid questions.

Greetings from the Eastern Coast and Northern States!
Well, I certainly can understand why you are having such a stumbling block with regards to Voldemort - In Harry Potter, he is equal to the devil, and is always present for being dealt with. Now that said, You have introduced an entire other line of heroes AND villians that you haven't really touched apon. Take someone like Magneto, in example. Just because Harry is a Mutant Wizard, does not mean the mutant storyline doesn't also have changes - Jean,Scott, Logan and Xavier all have become focused with Harry, and this means that other things may be faltering. I am assuming this is pre-Phoenix era (I only have a smattering about the comic series, nothing more), so I assume Jean's magic is her 'Phoenix' power instead of the Power Cosmic. Play another role in, with someone like the Creevey girl being more of a Brotherhood member (Maybe already in the Brotherhood, or having heard about it). Also, take into consideration that Magneto was present when Jean was talked to about Xavier's School for the Gifted - What is there to stop Magneto's memory charm from being removed? *Smiles* Just a few thoughts, but please keep Magneto apart from Voldemort - that is just to much to think they would work together at all!

Bob & Alyx,
Great God & Goddess of da Muse I bow before your greatness & declare (in my best Weasley twins voice) We are not worthy!! We are not worthy!!
I haven't read the latest update yet...had to get my A/N fix...wow....I see Llamas....pink, purple, even Bob ones...Oops. Sorry about that. Actually the point of this is to say that regardless of whether you are out to kill the Dork Lord (love that one)...please continue to allow your muse free reign. Your writing is entertaining & continues to be inspiring. (makes you wonder 8-)

I don't mind how sporadic the updates are. Kinsfire's got a few fics that are worse than this one at updating. I've always enjoyed your writing style, Bob and Alyx, and so long as it eventually continues, I don't mind how long it takes. Just send an A/N occasionally to let us know you're ok, please.
Some very interesting developments in this chapter. I'm truly glad Harry and Hermione have a shaky truce. He's going to need all the true friends he can get. And the North Sea Sea Dragon is fantastic. I can't wait to see what else happens with her.

I've really enjoyed this fic; actually, I've enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. My biggest concern was that the X-characters would take over the story, but you've managed a nice balance of HP and X-men with neither really being pushed to far into the background.
I'm also enjoying the way Harry is really acting much more like a person who has had a crappy life; he's angry and resentful, as would be expected. The way Jean and Scott, and Logan and the Prof., are becoming his family is nice to see. I'm actually glad that you haven't really rushed Harry into forgiving everyone.
As for the Voldemort thing, I have to agree. I'm a little tired of the Dark Tosser (he never really impressed me as a 'Big Bad' anyway), and wouldn't miss him if you just killed him off early and focused on other sources of conflict. Perhaps setting Harry up to start (unintentionally) a wizarding-world cultural revolution? Something that would drag at least some of them into the modern world?
Well. whatever you decide to do, I'm looking forward to reading it.

Excellent chapter! I'll be waiting patiently for more.
As far as the Voldemort issue goes, I agree completely. Horcrux hunt, blah, blah, blah. Deathl Hallows, blah, blah, blah. Neither of which has much to do with the original prophesy in my opinion. I'm far more interested in seeing how the various characters resolve their issues (or don't) and get on with their lives. You can't grow up the way Harry is supposed to have and instantly be normal and trusting.
I'd really like to see where you go with this one. Fry the Dork Lord in the JJ2's exhaust and be done with him.

how about a story or continuation of this one where Harry says to the Wizards piss off! And goes to school in the States.

Why don't you just kill off Voldemort and move everything along into the Marvel world in america. Give him some real enemies.

Having thought about it a while...
"Rocks fall, Voldemort dies." is about all that we really need for this story.
More and more, I'm finding the stories that attract me most are about the fall of the Wizarding World - their chutzpah, and conceit, and resulting explosion when it falls down around them. The only aspect of it I don't like is the Cassandra role of someone trying to stop it - as I don't really believe it can be stopped.
Now, I don't believe that there will be a *GENERAL* war between wizards and "mundanes" (still not a good word, but better than muggles, anyway), nor do I believe there would be a general war between mutants and mundanes. I'm not discounting the possibilities of witch hunts - but I do believe they'd be localized, and mostly cases of individuals going on vendettas. This is why I was never a fan of the Marvel comics. While history repeats, it seldom if ever repeats itself exactly.
I do think you're under-estimating the available ways of taking out Voldemort, but still - it has been done, and it's not that hard, which is part of the problem with it. Now, we need something *hard* - and even watching the Wizarding World crash and burn isn't nearly as hard as navigating through to a *successful* resolution of all three parts of the world.
It's kind of like my thoughts on the problems in the Middle East - a lot of which is the situation over holy sites. I think we should just turn judeo/christian/islamic holy sites over to the Buddhists to run, and let them collect the pilgrimage fees. They'd respect the sites enough to take care of them - but they're not interested enough in them to take sides.

It's kinda funny, you mentioned not really wanting to deal with Voldemort in this story and that's why the updates are so slow. Part of the reason I like this so much is that Voldemort is not the main enemy; the whole entire wizarding society is. Voldemort's just the excuse to keep Harry in it.
I really love the way that Jean & Harry tried to open some eyes to just how wrong thier views of muggles are, just how badly misinformed they really are. Having one's own prejudices tossed in your face (especially when you believe you have an open mind) must be very painful.
Please don't let moldy Voldie but you off this story. The direction you are taking it is wonderful.

Excellent story, keep up the good work. I like Harry's interaction with the people whom he perceives as having betrayed him, and I'm glad he's not confronting them all at once or one after another. It's nice to read a story where he's not just a broody git all the time or out for revenge on his former friends.
I've just read your notes at the end of chapter 5 and I know it's presumptuous of me but I have a suggestion: Kill him off. Voldemort isn't important to your story so kill him (ie. he attacks hogwarts or hogsmeade and Harry teleports him into a volcano or 100 miles straight up) That still leaves you with Harry dealing with the ministry, his friends, public opinion, Ginny, his classmates, Dumbledore, Snape, and all the other Death Eaters. The prophecy implies Harry has to kill Tom, but it doesn't say anything about his followers. Just kill him off in a funny or ridiculously easy way, he's not the focus of this story, he's only had one or two appearances total. The North Sea Sea Dragon has gotten more attention than the 'big bad villain'.
Anyhow that's just my opinion, and that having been said I really enjoy this story and hope you update soon.
