I love the new chapter and the character interaction contained there in. Forget Voldemort, write whatever direction you'd care to, there will always be plenty of us who enjoy the story you spin. Thanks again!

I really like the way you're dealing with Hagrid. He's not the brainless follower as he appears in so many fics. Once again, you take solid character traits and apply them in ways that make a story worth reading.
I understand you're notes about Voldemort and continuing this fic. I will say that I've not really even thought about Voldemort in this one. You've done a good job of telling the story and the conflicts Harry's going through. To that end, Voldemort is an afterthought.
I'm sure there are those that would disagree and claim that the battle between the two should be paramount. But, it seems to me, you are telling a different good vs evil tale and doing an excellent job of it.
Thanks for your time and efforts.

Dude, it's your story and you can take it anywhere you want, and I doubt any of us would care. We just like reading your work, because it is fun to read. You can write really funny when you want to, and then go as serious as Sunset and Sunrise. I like that in a writer. So if you think this needs to go somewhere else, then that is where it can go.
Peace.

As always, a pleasure.
I have great sympathy with your Voldemort plateau. Tom Riddle as Voldemort was JKR's weakest creation. So often Voldemort's lines sounded like Emperor Zurg from Toy Story.
Now, on to the niggling comments.
I was an avid reader of X-men in my highschool and college days - then I went into the US Air Force and had some appreciation for just how much maintenance went into jets - some of which deservedly were awarded the title "hangar queen." Assuming that Harry's jet is some variation on the Harrier (or the VTOL version of the F-35) it's an amazingly expensive plane to maintain, requiring hours of maintenance on a regular basis. Details like this, of course, are another example of real-life intruding into a good yarn, so I'll tell myself to shut-up now.
Glad to see that you're still writing - I'll read whatever you post, without regard to frequency or era.

I'm glad your writing again. I spent a nice long relaxing tea break reading the new chapter and in some ways i perfectly understand why your fed up of Voldemort. He's been killed so many times by so many different people making his death original in any manner is getting more difficult by the day. Good luck and i look forward to the next chapter.

Dear Bob, I am so glad to have another chapter of MS. I really like what you are doing in this story. Snape as truly evil is one story line I like. You have combined the X-men with HP in such a way that I find it completely enjoyable. I have read and reviewd all your shorts you have published lately. They were great fun. Thank you for that. I think it is great that Harry is doing so much learning about the Muggle world and the Wisardins world. It will take really smart people to make that crossover. Harry has a head start and He is doing great about it. I am glad he made up with Hermione. That was a good scene. Harry told her what he really felt about her views and let her know another fight right now would be the last. Hermione is pushy at the best of times. She needs to curtail her opionion sometimes and be a better listener. Harry needs Hermione and she needs him. They are too goood friends and they shouldn't lose that. I'm glad Ginny talked to Jean and then Hermione talked to Ginny. That gives her some good feed back from 2 different opinions. It helps her to see the bigger picture of who and what Harry is to her, the wizarding world and his friends. I understand why you are frustrated about "how to deal with Moldyshorts, again!" It could be something so simple as Harry blowing him away with a rocket from his jet! I know you could do a lot more with that idea than I can imagine. Just trying to help if you don't mind. I won't be offended if you don't use it. Thanks again for sharing your tallent. I love everything you write. pms

Very nice chapter. I read you are expecting this one to head down a diferent road. There is nothing wrong with that, I expected it really.
I even expected Voldemort to be dealt with on the sidelines and this one more to deal with social changes and the like.
There is, in my oppinion, really much potential in this one to adress such issues.
Sadly, I am not much of an author and to much of a consumer, else I would be writing more.
Anyways, i hope to read more in this one as it is one of the very few crossovers I really appreciate.

Drop Voldie, his horcruxes, and his DE's into an active volcano. Oh, and don't forget Umbridge and the people like her. That would solve alot of problem with the wizarding world neatly.
I'm glad to see you writing again. I've always enjoyed reading your stories. Sunrise and Sunset are 2 of my all time favorite stories.

Great writing as always. If anything I'd say go even more with what you are seeing and concentrate on their society and the world as a whole which is a much more interesting and has better and more broad possibilities.

Bah-Humbug.
The real demon is the wizarding world. They have been stick in a society with is stagnant and dying of stangulation. 65,000 wizards with a longer life and 65 million muggles. each wazarding family is one or two children and the muggles have 3.
even voldemort is more of a gnat than a problem.
Bravo Mutie harry

Frankly I was disappointed to be reminded Voldie wasn't gone already. If you can't just kill him off and keep going, maybe you should keep him occupied. Borrow someone else from your crossover mileau, and get him into a squabble with Doctor Doom, or sic Magneto on him. I'll bet the latter could figure out something to do about him, magic or no magic. This IS the guy, after all, who in Marvel continuity was confronted by totally unexpected power from a formerly not all that strong opponent, figured out what it was, what to do about it, and DID it before the Phoenix could flatten him. Or drop him into an inter-universal vortex and let someone else play with him for awhile.

I really don't mind what you write, as long as you write. Your writing style is so natural that its a pleasure to read anything. I hope that you'll continue this story, but at the same time I'm liking the short stories and I'd happily spend time reading a post-voldemort novel length story, go wherever you want and I'll follow along behind.

Bob, I actually prefer stories here lately that deal less with fighting Voldemort and more with the characters and their development. Like you, I have seen an incredible array of Voldemort slaying stories. So if you were to take this story in the same direction as "Wizards Fall", I for one would not complain. Also, I must congratulate you on being one of the few authors that accurately depicts how a teenager would react to the numerous terrible events of Harry's life. I hope you update this one a little less sporadically then you have so far as it is a gripping tale that has sucked me in, much like your other stories that I have read.
Oh, and I do demand refund! for Book 7, the piece of trash written by She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.

Best Concept:
'I think I'll develop a very rare talent just to annoy Hermione'.
I think that almost gave ME a Plot Bunny, and I'm not even afflicted with writing!
Most Melodramatic:
Every time you hear that sound, a little piece of Harry Potter, the wizard, dies,"
Lovely bit of drama, that. Pity my major reaction to it was: "Ok, and Harry changing cultures is a bad thing?" Because I think I'm with him on that front.
Jean's Muggle Studies Class:
Oh, well done! I hope there will be more of that kind of thing: there is always lots of "Harry Encounters New Magical Object and is Amazed". Most enjoyable to see wizards meet Technology (other than Ron on a London street, which also happens frequently).
Oooooo, does that bit in the note about Wizards Fall mean there might be more of that one someday?!?!?! 'Cause that would be just insanely cool.
Happy to read pretty much anything you feel like writing: thank you for continuing to write!

You could make Voldy what he hates most, a muggle...nah,been there done that. For all that Harry has changed, I like the improvements and I totally agree with him...is there anything to salvage of the WW?
Hey how about sendng Voldie skyward on a mission to Mars? Trick him onto a rocket and light the fuse. K:D

I suppose it's a reflection of my profession that my reaction is FOUR! F414's and it only does Mach 2.1? It's got to be a fairly largish aircraft, then, though that's contraindicated by some of the other descriptions and its vstol capability. Ah, well, I've not read X-men recently enough to remember what the aircraft in question looks like so I can't make any further analysis (though I can speculate on the configuration based on what has been done/demonstrated in the past). This was an interesting chapter where we see the start of various threads that will be going through and defining this year. I rather suspect Snape and Umbridge are going to have very, very uncomfortable and unpleasant years; Ron may too before he performs the necessary anal-cranial extraction. Ginny and Hermione appear to be in somewhat better shape and Ginny does have an edge of not having lied to Harry; I suspect that she's going to be doing a lot of extra credit in Muggle Studies so that she's got a chance of going with or following Harry where ever he may go after Hogwarts. I see this story more as a study of personality interactions and development more than a crusade against Tommy-boy; really, in some ways that's a sideshow to the important things that'll be happening here. I'm glad you're not abandoning this story and I'm looking forward to seeing where you take it; *wicked grin* I will admit to be especially looking forward to when Harry finally takes Ginny up in the second seat of his jump jet.
I will agree that this chapter title fits both the events of the chapter and your own author's note, the chapter is about the new reality that the wizarding world, especially Hogwarts, has to adjust to with Harry and Jean and the A/N makes it clear that the readers are going to habe to adjust to a somewhat different story than some were expecting. Me, I'm just going along for the ride 'cause I know it'll still be a fun trip.

I DEMAND A REFUND!:P Just kidding that problem you have is one MANY Fanfic authors will run into its also why you see on some profiles "this author has written xx stories for yy different animes books movies etc. The only thing I can do to help is say good chapter and good luck. I have enjoyed all your stories and can say that I will enjoy many more to come. Oh one more thing in a week or so you should be getting the BID (box of infinite doughnuts) if it doesn't get there then some one hijacked the delivery truck and killed the driver.

I'm sure you've been told this already, but you do know that 'flipping the bird' originated in England right? If Anyone would know what it meant, it'd be the English, ass backwards magical society or not.
Also, it could be just me, but the Harry/Ginny pair is feeling incredibly forced and awkward. She does nothing except sigh wistfully and occasionally curse someone so that they are attacked by a runny nose with an attitude problem. Frankly the way your story is going it feels like either a H/Hr, a H/L, or (much more so than the other two) No ship. Trying to make them work is mucking up your story.
If you would accept some unsolicited advice, Drop her for a while, get the poor girl some character development, and try again later on if you still think this should have a ship.

I like the story. It's a very good blend of Harry Potter and X-Men. Should be interesting to see what happens with the other mutant witch.
Keep up the great work!
