First off, I would like to apologize for being a horrible fan. I've never reviewed, never sent thanks, or let you know how much I have enjoyed this story. I am an old fashioned reader and would print out each chapter to take home and read. I would finish the chapter and think of what I would like to write, but when I would get to work, life would get hectic and I would forget. I manage a small bookstore so I am constantly reading, but I would always put down whatever book I was on to read your next chapter immediately, causing quite a few arguments between my partner and I because I would never let him have the chapter first.
We print out stories we like and bind them in binder combs. When you asked how many pages, I stopped to count the total for you. Sunset was 761 pages total, and Sunrise was 1357 for a total of 2118 pages. We duplex print and the combined height of the books are just shy of 9".
I want to thank you for an excellent story. You created a very realistic world. I appreciate the fact that it took Harry time to prepare to face Voldemort and that it wasn't one quick sanitary little battle with few losses. I admit I prefer the H/G ship usually, but you wrote a believable H/H that I could enjoy. Your story is the one story my partner and I agree is one of our favorites which is saying something as our tastes usually are very different. I loved your prologue and author notes, the sheer absurdity of them all, I can't say Kent did though. His sense of humor is a little different.
I am so sorry the ride is over. It's like losing a friend, but I look forward to more stories to enjoy. I won't promise that I'll get any better about reviews, running the store takes up most of my life, especially now with planning a party for JK's next book, but you can rest assured I will be printing and reading whatever you write.
Thank you,
Barbara Craft

This is truly the best story I've read in all of fanfiction (with a perfect blend of action, suspense, and some drama; sprinkled with humor), and ranks high amongst published fiction that I've read as well. The sheer size, detail, and quality is amazing, and I can't wait to see your next project (though I hate cross-overs, should you decide that is your next avenue your writing is more than strong enough to merit it a chance).

Fricken Amazing. I want to thank you for sticking with the story all the way to the end. It is an awesome story and I would kinda like to see the X-men story you talked about.

Well I haven't reviewed these chapters before, but I have read each and every one of them. I have checked your site weekly looking for updates since I read chapter 1 so many months ago. This universe is amazing, I'm going to miss it. Thank you for all of your time and effort you spent writing this work...an amazing project

Good story.
Just a small thught : didn't Harry want to name the first daughter 'Allison' ?
Anyway, I look forward to reading the next story. Maybe they'll be less Albus/Ron/Snape bashing, who knows ?

Hey Bob and Alyx, been catching up on your story, and i want to congratulate you on your great story. I especially like the great military detail. Some of it seems a little sketchy, such as the A-10 Warthog (its not a Navy plane, so where was it launched? Ireland? Norway? It doesn't matter much, but it sticks out a little). other than that, you either did a lot of research or have some military backround -- major props in either case.
While your knowlegde of the military is very good, your knowledge (or should I say, the healer's knowledge) of modern medicine and medical practice seems very very scanty in comparison, especially in the field of anesthesia. For example, why didnt Neville's bed have wheels? I suppose it's not something someone without hospital experience might think about, but patient's beds need to be able to move. Also, it seems silly that Harry had to resort to some old forgotten Celtic spell just to make Ginny's leg numb. It seems to me like a collection of the best healers in the world would be able to do something-- I know any anesthiologist in the US could have. I did like that Susan got that potion for her labor though. So many fanfics are so dumb when it comes to childbirth. On further reflection, in most fanfics, authors stick with the accepted idea that wizards are ignorant and suspicious of Muggle medical technique.
Really, this all is a very minor point when it comes to your entire work, which I have enjoyed immensely. I just wanted to point out that the medical sections are incongruous with the military section when it comes to accuracy and detail. If you ever decide to go back and edit (which would be a monumental task, I admit), that is one area that probably merits some attention.
Please feel free to ignore me, if it so suits you. It won't bother me. After all, you are the excellent writer, and I am the grateful reader.

why doesnt harry put a line of death around haven to stop anyone evil from coming in? and if her can do that then why not piut a line of death around hogwarts so that whenever someone evil leaves they die...

You were curious about the length - my copy in Word is 1205 pages (Sunset was 645 pages).
Thanks for the ride.

Ok I haven't finished this chapter. To be Honenest I've just gotten to the party about the oprha, but I went to school in NYC and would like to thank you for bringing up the WTC. When I was 9 I stood on the top of the roof of the north tower and I remember how little the world looked. i never thought that the building would someday be destoyed. I've read a lot of Hp fanfiction and in every story i've read when Harry goes to NY he is either ignores the buildings or mentions their collapse. I know it's just one line or two in your story, but I love the WTC not b/c of what it later came to represent, but because of what it made me see when I was younger. I do enjoy all your stories and i'll try to become a faithful reviewer

Great story i liked the part where Malfoy is a ghost and where. Remus and Tonks kids are fighting and one of them turns into a wolf pup and then a cat and. Tonks turns to Remus says it is his fault i laughed is that just like a woman to put the fault on the male when she is at fault. i also want to ask what happened to Tonks mom and dad after you got them to. Haven it like they disappeared so again great story and can`t wait to see what you come up with next.

This was a beautiful story that I truly enjoyed reading. I think that if you write other stories, you might want to work a little on your dialog. There were a few times throughout the story that I thought it felt unnatural and unrealistic.

I never reviewed before, so I had to take this last opportunity to tell you I loved your story. It kept me hooked thoughout the whole series. I am going to miss it too, but I know you will soon come up with another grat story, so in the end all is well. Now enjoy knowing you completed a great story.
Oh! I found the fact that you chose Argentina as one of those far away countries writers choose to name in a story quite funny, since I'm from Argentina. It made me smile (even if we were not portrayed as very nice guys!). So know that someone in Argentina (your obscure country of choice) read your story. LOL!!!

Well that was a pretty good story and all, but what am I suppose to do now? You two are planing on writing another one million words Harry Potter epic right? RIGHT? You just have to… I was there for both of you that time, at that place… You remember don’t you I did that thing for you? The least you could do in return is write another original, well thought out story with plot twists at every corner and three-dimensional characters. You just have to… I’m on my hands and knees begging here… It doesn’t even have to be a million word long… 950,000 words will do… Even 900,000 words would be acceptable if you’re not really into it. It’s only a two, three years commitment… What else are you both gonna do? Spend more time secretly at Dunkin' Donuts waiting for the new batch to leave the deep fryer? Secretly continue stalking Alan Rickman in a black overcoat hidden in the shadows behind his house? Sure it would make you both more happy and fulfilled deep down inside, but that won’t give me something good to read will it? So when you get down to it, you really have no choice but to undertake another journey in the world of Harry Potter Fiction… All kidding aside, thank you both for writing the best AU HP Fan Fic out there.

I love your house elf name Dilly! Nobody can come up with good ones, it seems. This is the first one I saw that I thought fit.

#1 - That was a bloody fantastic, bloody brilliant, bloody awesome story, Bob and Alyx.
I happily discovered Sunset over Britain when THIS story was still in it's infancy. I devoured it (and admit to missing work a couple of days out of sheer addiction).
I have it downloaded into a single file - it was 1573 pages at Times New Roman 12 pt font. I believe it's just slightly larger than the ongoing "Brave New World" which is, so far, the largest story I've downloaded (it recently passed up "Resonance" by GreenGecko which had been the largest before that).
Anyway, I loved the story and I will await any new ones with glee. I hope to see that X-men/HP crossover you mentioned :) :).
