So, I've been following this story for a bit, but I haven't been very good about keeping up or reviewing. I just wanted to tell you how much I've enjoyed this story so far! It's such well-thought out and thorough adventure. I feel like you put so much time and effort into this story, and it really shows in how complete it is. It has a nice balance of seriousness and humor, and I've just really enjoyed getting to see your version of how Harry Potter might've been.
Ok, so more specifically for this chapter...the battle definitely did not disappoint! Sometimes all the build up just doesn't payoff, but I thought you did a really great job of keeping it interesting and tense. The way Harry finished off Voldemort definitely intrigued me. The idea of cutting him off from his magic just seems like the perfect punishment even if he hadn't died from it. I can't believe that he's finally gone though!
Anyway, I'm enjoying the story lots and I'm glad everything's getting resolved now, but it makes me sad that the story's almost over! I'm excited to see what happens next...

Hello Bob and Alyx,
I have a bit of a bone to pick with you. I was up for promotion board this past month, and just happened to come across your story around the same time. I was having mucho trouble tearing myself away from your most excellent story and getting myself to study for my board. In the end, I did well enough, and will be pinned next month.
I love the story, and could sit here and tell you all the wonderful things about it for a while, but I wouldn't want to waste your time. What I want to ask, though, is how much Hermione's parents are modeled after the two of you? After reading your disclaimers and authors notes, I'd like to think that I received a small insight into your personalities and they seem to match Dan and Emma's spot on. Is it their reaction, being able to excuse everything as magic, or yours? Ah well, keep up the excellent work. I expect you'll hear more out of me now that I don't have to study anymore. Thanks for the wonderful distraction!

Please, please, please use Peeves and his 'brothers' in one of your last disclaimers! The result can only be mayhem.

woop great chapter! A bit of a..... short battle though. I would have thought the reclaimation of Britain would hae taken longer. And also, what of the Tongs?

OOOPS, I asked in previous review about Snape...I re-read the last 6 chapters, yeah I must have been tired when I read that Cho killed him..my mistake.
Ding-dong the witch is dead...hi-ho the derry-o...yay! Voldie is pushing up daisies, interesting way to go. So it looks like Harry absorbed some of his power???
Great chapter, here is a plate of virtual cookies (chocolate nut caramel) for you success!

Hmm.... what can i say? i am rendered speechless. This is cool way to end a story. I cannot help but compare this finale to the battle chapter from Spritus crystallus. You guys have come a long way from a '!' loving exclamators( for fun once just check the number of sentencs in the DA starting chapters) to great authors in your own right.
Coool. Looking forward to how you guys are gonna wrap it up.

A very well done chapter, you do seem to write the battles well, but the I would guess comes down to having a plan on how things go :).
Anyway this has been a great story, and I have enjoyed every chapter, so I am looking forward to seeing how things get wrapped up.
After all, all good things must come to an end at some point. But thanks for putting it off for so long.

it almost seems like the end of an era. I've followed this story from go to woe and I must say I'm impressed. there are very few writers that peak my interest these days but you two have kept me hooked all the way through.
can't wait to see what you do to wind things up.
thank you both for a great story. it's helped to take my mind of things when things get a bit hard around here.

You guys rock. I hadda wait a couple of days after getting the notice of this being posted before I could find time to read it - but it was worth the wait.
I'll be saddened to see the end of this particular plenum of "the HP universe as defined by fans" end - but I guess all good things come to an end.

Wow! That was incredible. Probably the best large scale extended final battle scene I've ever read. I wish I could have you write the final battle for my story!
Completely riveting chapter. I particularly enjoyed reading about all the battle coordination and planning, and how it all came together. But even so, things never go strictly according to plan and the outcome is heavily influenced by who improvises better. And the 'fog of war' where not everyone knows exactly what the others on their side are doing, and what's going on with the wounded they lose track of.
Very well done, and I'm looking forward to the wrap up and to reading the short stories you've been saving for us.
