OK, I certainly didn't see where that was going from the start. Interesting world; and I'm inclined to wonder like someone else did in this set of reviews what it'd be like if they came out in the middle of something along the lines of Charlie Stross' Accelerando...

Oh, one interesting thought, what if, while Norman Cay is under the influence of the power evoked by the Avalon Equations, muggle society goes through a cultural singularity, like that postulated by Vernor Vinge and others, and becomes something rather unrecognizeable to those who didn't see it happen?

I certainly hope it is NOT the end. With some ingenuity and input from Alyx, this could be quite the interesting story. Wizarding in the year 3000.
Neato.

Brigadoon! Go with it. I was sorely disappointed that there was never a follow-up to the 1954 film. Since we're dealing with Jungian Archetypes and you've rebirthed Brigadoon, I'd suggest marrying the worlds together. Hell, Van Johnson makes a great Ron Weasly. Run with it.

You know, I can't stand Snape; he's petty, vile, childish, and makes himself feel better by belittling others, but, at some point we have to recognize the "Hawkeye factor".
If we think back to the '70s television show MASH, the character Hawkeye, played by Alan Alda, was allowed the most outragous behaviour because of his skills as a surgeon. We have real-life correlations in our school systems; the Heads, being at the top of their class, their minor infractions are overlooked in the same way that a similar transgression is highlighted against a student that performs poorly.
Snape, as the preeminent Potionsmaster (teacher to you Yanks) of the most prestigious magical school in Britian, should be afforded a measure of leniency and his skills recognized.
Therefore I humbly submit that the acerbic Potions Teacher be removed to the Key strictly for his knowledge. I'm not a huge fan of the Bible, the Koran, or the Talmud, but if I was rebuilding society, I would include these books as long as they were kept and taught in context. Sort of like keeping Snape in line, I suppose.

I enjoyed it a lot. One or two more chapteers, just to see how life returns to the wizarding world once Harry and company returns would be interesting to read. Keep up the great work!

Great story.
I would love both prequels and sequels to this one. Perhaps especially about how the Wizarding-world coped between Potter's anouncement and the closing of Hogwarts -- as well as after Hogwarts closed and until "The *Last* Wizard".
Great would also a story about comming out of Avalon and seeing the changes -- great technology... or perhaps the oposite; A Dark Age... very much in need of some magic -- and re-opening Hogwarts, establishing a Magical Government and perhaps making contact with Muggles.
I would also love a prequel about the immidiate aftermath of the war; how the Wizard-world could turn dictatoric and target muggleborns, halfbloods and halfbreeds. About those who fought against it... and perhaps a bit about Harry rescuing some people or how they came to the island; like Hermione's arrest and how Bill, Fleur and Gabrielle came over.

Oooh, I like this alternate universe! You should totally continue in it if you’re interested! The backstory for all this would be really awesome to read. My favorite part of this story is how Harry had his own little retreat from the world. I mean, I can totally see the Ministry getting swayed into trouble after the war, and it would be neat that Harry could escape from it all. The best part of this story, though, is actually the way you made it three-dimensional. I mean, this is a story with a really complex history that we’ve never read or anything but instead of being confused or annoyed, I just really wanted to read it in depth! Seriously, I really, really liked this one.
