As always, a brilliant story, you've actually managed to make a complete AU thats believable. Once again you've done what so many authors before have tried to do but failed and that too in such a short story.

An excellent way to remind us that there are indeed more than one way to skin a cat, and more than one type of cat.

While this would not have left the wonderful plot holes that have made the HP universe so fertile for fanfiction it is a good read -0 thanks so much for sharing your talents.

An interesting idea. I hesitate to call it a 'story'. It is really a summary for a multi-chapter epic on the scale of Sunset/Sunrise. I particularly would love to see a lot more flesh added to the skeleton that is Ling. That said, it is an interesting read.

It is a fact of canon that Dumbledore was aware of Harry's mistreatment and that it was a fundamental aspect of his strategy. I find it a pleasent piece of karmic justice that this should rebound on him so catestrophically.

What was the 'nail'? In this case, it was that the Dursleys did not consider magic a taboo and were more than willing to let Harry know why this was happening to him - an indication of more hatred than fear in their motives.

I have to say I'm surprised that Peter chose Ron. Was he just the easiest obtainable victim? I would have thought that Neville, as the other possible 'boy-who-lived' would have been Voldemort's target.

Finally - I do like your idea of what happened to Voldemort. He wanted immortality? Well, he got it. ;-)
